Ebert said Free Willy 3 was the best one even though he gave the original 3.5 stars in his print review and this one 3 stars. Free Willy got 2.5 stars. Free Willy 2 must’ve done great on home video because its box office take was less than its gross but they still made this sequel. Free Willy 3’s box office was incredibly low but they eventually made a direct-to-video sequel 13 years later.
