Around the time this episode went on the air, Roger Ebert just published his first volume of his Movie Home/Video Companion/Movie Yearbook series. That edition only covers titles from 1980 to 1985. Then later editions cover titles from the 70’s to the 90’s. By 1998, his books began to cover then recent titles by 2 years. Much like the show, his book covers a wide variety of titles, from blockbusters, to independent films, to foreign films, to documentaries, to restored classics.
