1988 was a great year for movies. Lots of good movies that have come out that year. Contrary to what Gene said at the end of the show, Gene’s choice for his favorite film of 1978 (Straight Time) wasn’t on Roger’s list and Roger’s choice for his favorite film of 1978 (An Unmarried Woman) wasn’t on Gene’s list. So 1978 was actually the first time that their number one film of the year didn’t make each others list, not 1988.
Very good year for Willem Dafoe, btw.
