Splash was a landmark movie. It was the debut film in the great careers of Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard. It was also the first movie from Disney’s Touchstone Pictures. I thought it was quite funny and was a little disappointed by S & E’s reviews.
But I definitely agree with them on Harry & Son. Wow, was that ever awful! How did Newman agree to that?

I didn’t care for Splash too much myself. In fact, it reminded me of Love at First Bite, with its similar story.
Roger liking Angel is like him liking Cop and a Half nine years later. I recall Angel but never saw it at the time.
