I always felt that Die Hard is one of Roger Ebert’s worst reviews. Not because he didn’t like the movie, but because he based his bad review over a minor issue, particularly the Paul Gleason character. Another thing that bothers me is that he likes Die Hard 2, which, ironically, has a dim witted captain of the airport police. I don’t know what Roger was thinking with flip-flopping like this.

Big fan of The Dead Pool and Die Hard. Midnight Run good too. Pretty awesome year, 1988. I remember it well.

It could be that with the second one there were more amazing stunts for him. I thought the original was pretty good.
