No, there’s not much I liked on SNL after the 1995 revamp. They introduced a bunch of annoying characters at that time like the Superstar girl, the cheerleaders, the monkey-like character, etc. They just started violating all the rules about comedy at that point. Annoying characters aren’t funny because they’re annoying. Imitations aren’t funny because they’re imitations. And acting like you’re funny isn’t funny.
Regarding Superstar: I never liked this character on SNL and wanted to see someone punch her out or pull a Simpson on her.
