Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I think Wesley Morris had more chemistry with Roger than Dick Roeper. He had also more intellectual heft as a critic and would have been less annoying in the long-run. He’s slightly ill at ease in these appearances and looks at the camera too often, but with some work he could have been great on television.
Well, Wesley at the time was working in San Francisco and wasn’t willing to move to Chicago to do the show full time. He did sub for Roger in 2007 as well. By then he was in Boston.
