It would be about five years after this before James Woods was really noticed by Hollywood. Then for the next ten years he became very well-known through a string of high-profile movies and TV projects. Geneviève Bujold was already in her mid-40s when this episode aired, so as a woman she had a big headwind against her to expand her career in Hollywood. She stayed active but low profile, occasionally getting awards recognition from lesser known organizations.

I have no idea what they saw in Genevieve Bujold. She was as generic as they came.
