  • How often did they do this with an audience? I know they did it in ’90 as well. Liked it better when just them in the studio.

  • This was in many ways the height of their popularity I think. The producers were really trying to make them television stars. Great success story from those humble PBS beginnings.

    • The strangest things to me were the Holiday Gift Guide specials. What do those have to do with movies and why would movie critics be considered experts on picking out holiday gifts?
